Do I need an account?
No. Notes and core features work without one. Sign in with Apple or Google only if you want to sync across devices.
Does it work offline?
On-device speech-to-text, text-to-speech, magnifier, OCR, and translation work offline. Premium AI voices, cloud translation, and AI describe need an internet connection.
Is my audio or camera sent anywhere?
Speech-to-text and OCR run on your device, and audio is not uploaded. Only the text you translate, the voices you generate, and an AI-describe photo are sent to our providers to perform those features.
Does it work with VoiceOver, and is there an Apple Watch app?
Yes to both: VoiceOver throughout with high-contrast themes, plus haptic alerts and an Apple Watch companion.
